Metro Nashville Public Works Department will begin Brush and Leaf collections in your area on 7/13/2011.
Thank you!
To ensure that your brush will be collected, you should have limbs and all other yard waste out and ready for pick-up on the date above. Place only limbs, branches and true yard waste by the curb for brush crews. Lumber, household trash and other types of debris found in your brush pile means it won’t get picked up. Brush piles should not be placed close to mailboxes, utility poles, fences, trees, other stationary objects, in ditches or near storm drains. The mechanical arm of the knuckle boom truck needs enough room to lift the brush pile up and into the trailer pulled behind the truck.
Place leaves in biodegradable paper bags only. Paper biodegradable bags can be purchased at most hardware stores, Wal-Mart’s, Target, Home Depot, etc. Public Works also has a supply of these bags available for purchase at the Omohundro Convenience Center: 5 bags for $3.00 and 10 bags for $6.00.
Plastic bags will not be picked up.
For questions about services please contact our Public Works Customer Service Representatives at 311, 880-1000 or visit Brush Do’s and Don’ts.

Ellen Daniels reports that several neighbors on Patomic had lawn and garden equipment stolen at approximately 2:15 am today, July 16. One homeowner’s storage shed had the door kicked in. A lawn mower and other yard equipment were taken from another home.
On April 9 or 10, the O’Neill’s shed was broken into at night. The robbers cut the lock off their shed and stole their chainsaw and various pieces of equipment. They also tried to steal the riding lawnmower.

Potter-SP-July-2010 ROY DALE SENT OUT THE FOLLOWING INFO:
Attached is our most recently updated SP drawing. The plan has been revised to indicate the following:
-The 2 story building is now 1 story
-Restricts 26 uses permitted by right within CL. This is about 50% of the allowed uses and are all as requested by neighbors.
-Has a maximum floor area ratio that is 10% less than CL’s max allowed
-Has a minimum green space requirement 20% higher than CL
-Requires high quality building materials
-Requires monument signage with pole mounts prohibited
Also, note the plan allows a second story of office or residential use on the larger building b/c the neighbors desired to avoid the strip center look. Michael will be at the meeting Thurs b/c I will be MIA. Give me or Michael call if you want to discuss prior to Thursday.
If I have omitted a use category please know that if was done my mistake, as my notes were a little scrambled. If a use that was discussed needs to be added to this plan as not allowed, please let me know and I will take care of it prior to approval at the Metro Council.
I appreciate all of your input and truly believe that this is a much better plan as a protected SP zoning and has the potential to be more valuable to the neighborhood than a pure office type zoning.
